ANGELS AND SPIRITS

(Latin angelus; Greek aggelos; from the Hebrew for "one going" or "one sent"; messenger). The word is used in Hebrew to denote indifferently either a divine or human messenger. The Septuagint renders it by aggelos which also has both significations. The Latin version, however, distinguishes the divine or spirit-messenger from the human, rendering the original in the one case by angelus and in the other by legatus or more generally by nuntius. In a few passages the Latin version is misleading, the word angelus being used where nuntius would have better expressed the meaning, e.g. Isaiah 18:2; 33:3, 6.

All three major religions in the Western world,
Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, as well as virtually all of the world's other systems of religious belief,
include celestials in their cosmologies. Their scriptures all contain references to angelic interventions.
The angels are represented throughout the Bible as a body of spiritual beings intermediate between God and men: "You have made him (man) a little less than the angels" (Psalm 8:6). They, equally with man, are created beings; "praise ye Him, all His angels: praise ye Him, all His hosts . . . for He spoke and they were made. He commanded and they were created" (Psalm 148:2, 5: Colossians 1:16, 17). That the angels were created was laid down in the Fourth Lateran Council (1215). The decree "Firmiter"
against the Albigenes declared both the fact that they were created and that men were created after them. This decree was repeated by the Vatican Council, "Dei Filius". We mention it here because the words: "He that liveth for ever created all things together" (Ecclesiasticus 18:1) have been held to prove a simultaneous creation of all things; but it is generally conceded that "together" (simul) may here mean "equally", in the sense that all things were "alike" created. They are spirits; the writer of the Epistle to the Hebrews says: "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent to minister to them who shall receive the inheritance of salvation?" (Heb. i, 14).
Angels don't have human natures, although we humans continue to project our characteristics upon them. They see and understand things in a very
different perspective from the way we do. While we do have much in common, especially in regard to our higher goals, it's our very differences that can lead to fascinating dialogues. Angels, like people, belong to families or clans. Many names have been given to them, but in the opinion of a number of angel historians, the most familiar can be arranged in three categories, or spheres, starting at the top with those closest to God, and moving down to those who are
connected to the physical world.

The word 'angel' itself is used both as a generic term to refer to all heavenly beings, and as a specific term to refer to the members of the third sphere, those closest to the physical. So, too, the 'archangel' is often used as a generic term to refer to all the high orders of heavenly beings,
although they are in fact but one of the higher orders.
THE FIRST SPHERE - angels who serve as heavenly counselors:
Seraphim
Cherubim
Thrones
THE SECOND SPHERE - angels who work as heavenly governors:
Dominions
Virtues
Powers
THE THIRD SPHERE - angels who function as heavenly messengers:
Principalities
Archangels

SOLAR LORDS, ANGELS, and PITRIS
This compilation attempts to represent or characterize both the status and goal of the great bulk of humanity and its constantly shifting matrix of
attitudes and values in the Three Worlds, from the point of view of the hierarchies of lives that make up the composition of human sheathes through various permutations of buddhi, ahamkara, and manas. It does not represent the technical point of view of atma-buddhi-manas, in other words, of the conscious triad working on manifesting or actualizing the
purposes of the monad in the 7 or 5 worlds of solar or planetary life. The key to this insight is to be found in the higher cosmic and solar (Brahma) correspondence of Shiva in his form of Mahadeva, seated between Vishnu and Brahma ipostases in this 2nd solar system. In other words, active loving will, or the light within the lights, remains occult (despite what contemporary interpreters assert) when intelligence is active and love-wisdom is as yet only latent in human and planetary manifestation.
These compilations are meant to be taken into meditation, rather than taken at apparent or verbal face value. They are meant to incite questions
and disputation, within oneself and others. Classical disputation or critical reflection and heart meditation working together temper the mind and refine the heart. The 5th Ray concrete mind is the only path humans have (at this stage of IVth Creative Hierarchy evolution) toward fully conscious
Identification ? with soul, triad, monad, or deity. It is hoped that this compilation will also help students of Buddhism and Vedanta to understand AAB's and HPB's sophisticated technical and terminological
usage.
The first Logos embodies the "will to live" and it was through His instrumentality that the *Manasaputras* came into objective existence in relation to the *human* and *deva* hierarchies. In this system, the blending of the Divine Ray of Wisdom and the Primordial Ray of intelligent matter forms the great dual evolution; back of both these cosmic Entities stands "another Entity". Who is the embodiment of Will, and Who is the utilizer of forms ? Though not the forms of any other than the "Greater Building devas" and the human hierarchies in time and space. He is the animating principle; the will-to-live aspect of the "seven Hierarchies". Nevertheless these 7 Hierarchies are (as says HPB) the "sevenfold ray of wisdom", the dragon in its 7 forms.

Angels are agents of God, spirits are still hanging on to their earthly existence for personal reasons.
Angels can appear human (actual flesh and blood), spirits must appear in spectral form (no substance). Spirits is a term sometimes used to describe evil angels or fallen angels.
Given their divine origin ( fallen angels), spirits can cause or relieve pain and symptoms of disease. They can see into a person's body to locate areas of good health or vulnerability. They have the ability to see the altered electrical field around a person taking certain medications, thus alerting them that this person is vulnerable to harassment. In some instances, demonic spirits may mimic the symptoms of schizophrenia.
Once a person has given a spirit permission, directly or indirectly through channeling or even seemingly innocent ties to the occult, the spirit appears
to be able to read that person's thoughts, as well as planting thoughts in the person's mind.
These beings, because of pride, did not return God's love. God did not destroy them, but permits them a limited scope of activity. Their condition is permanent for no creature can turn away from the perfect good of the beatific vision once he has come to enjoy it, and no additional reflection could change the mind of a purely spiritual being who has turned away.
Angels (except God's own) are capable of only good. spirits can do as they will.

                                 Prayer To Your Guardian Angel

Angel of God, my guardian dear,
To whom God's love commits me here.
Ever this day be at my side,
To light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

ANGELS MEDITATION TO CHAKRAS
Here is a simple meditation process for you to strengthen and balance
your chakras:
1. Sit comfortably in a chair with your feet flat on the floor (or sit in your usual meditation position,) your back upright, and your hands turned upward on your lap.
2. Begin a gentle three-part breathing technique. First breathe into your belly, completely relaxing your belly and allowing it to expand. Then breathe into your abdomen, allowing it to expand. Then breathe into the top of your lungs, allowing full expansion. Pause for a count of three while your lungs are full of air. Breathe out from the top of your lungs, from your abdomen, and from your belly and pause for a count of three before you breathe in again. Repeat this breathing pattern for two to five minutes, allowing you to relax. Let this deep, gentle breathing pattern relax your body, relax your nervous system and calm your mind.
3. Sense your root chakra at the base of your spine, moving down your legs, through the soles of your feet and deep into the earth. Remember that your root chakra is built for this. It has its own intelligence, and when released, it will seek to connect to the center of the earth of its own accord.
4. Continue the three-part breathing technique. Now breathe up through your root chakra, allowing your breath to carry all of the goodness that nourishes and refreshes you, up from the earth through your root chakra and into your body.
5. Began to also breathe into your crown chakra, drawing inspiration, grace, intelligence and vision down from the heavens. Continue breathing in from your root, breathing into your crown, and allow your breath to gently begin to focus upon your heart chakra.
6. Center your awareness in your heart chakra. As you breathe in from your root and crown, allow your breath to carry the energy of the earth and the energy of the heavens into your heart. Continue this 3-part breathing and allow your heart to fill with this love and energy. Intend that your heart become filled and eventually overflowing with what you draw from the heavens above and from the earth below. Know that you are deeply connected to heaven and earth, and that all is supporting you and flowing
through you.
7. Ask now that your Higher Self/Soul/Spirit help you to see the next step on your path to greater awakening. Invoke your Higher Self to help you to
send out a magnetic wave of attraction. This wave will move out from you like ripples across a pond - arranging and attracting people, resources,
places and synchronicities that are perfectly attuned to your next place of consciousness.
8. Release all expectation of how this help will come. In place of expectation, choose deep receptivity. Allow a shift in your perceptions so that what you see, hear, feel and know shifts more into alignment with the truth that God intends good for you. By allowing your perceptions to shift, you will see these good opportunities, rather than pass them by. Be aware that sometimes the greatest opportunities come first in the form of the mustard seed, rather than the mountain. Truly it is the power of your seed
thoughts and seed intentions that will grow most strongly - for they are infused with the ability to channel the powers of heaven and earth for your
benefit.
This process, with practice, can be completed in 5 to 10 minutes. It is recommended that you do it each morning and, if possible, each evening before going to sleep. Experiment with it. Try this process for 21 days and notice the results. Keep a brief journal, especially noticing the shifts in your perceptions. You will see the people around you differently, the
opportunities around you will expand, the difficulties will diminish and you will find yourself much more able to harness the powers of heaven and earth for expressing your own growth and goodness.
